Excellent tactical and strategic planning: Bomb Houthis (targeting civilians - women and children) and threaten not only continuing action but also direct threats to Iran, for similar actions. Was there any consideration that these two countries control critical shipping choke points - for Yemen, the Bab-el-Mandeb and Iran, the Strait of Hormuz. Very easy for both to simply blockade both chokepoints (both very narrow channels, drop a few ships into and very difficult to reopen) and bring energy shipping to its knees. Also, China has an outstation on Djibouti to further up the ante. Using the Trumpian meme - neither Israel nor US have the cards to succeed if the Houthis and Iranians up the ante.
