If US tax dollars focused on diplomacy and cooperation, rather than war, coups, and sanctions, the hemisphere would be more peaceful and prosperous. If the US and others focus together on transitioning away from burning fossil fuels, along with peace and harmonious trade, fewer people would feel compelled to seek asylum outside their country of origin.
