huey - You're very right, and it's not just free speech that's under assault, it's our government, our laws and legal system, our legislation and policies, our media, and on and on and on... "Israel 'R' US" and vice versa.
Since when have verbal declarations, or international law, meant anything to Israelis or their American suppliers and backers? Israel will slaughter anyone who stands up to them unless there’s a serious military component to the resistance. We’re now fully in a “might makes right” world.
David Attenborough, the naturalist, has remarked that the Old Testament is all about domination. Now occupying Syria seems as if Israel is trying to reenact the OT without morality as a touchstone, as in Gaza. As the wonderful Israeli historian Ilan Pappe says, the end of Zionism will give birth to the true Judaism with morality.
These "people" (I use the word very liberally) continue to justify their genocidal outrages against humanity with their revenge on the Amalekites (who of us ever heard of them before Bibi's rant in Oct. of 2023?), who they still believe are out to get them 3,000 years later. It's an iteration of Richard Hofstadter, this time called "The Paranoid Style of Israeli Politics."
It just seems as though Israel wants to dominate, ordering everyone to hand in their arms, then beating killing and robbing them. Is this a terrorist state, ? the people who are quick to name Hamas as terrorists, and anyone standing up to them, as anti semites. Their accusations are all based on their own behaviour. they have proven themselves to be racists, chronic terrorists, liars and thieves. child murderers. and war criminals. murderers of journalists aid workers. rapists.
Sounds like Syria is the victim of a preemptive strike carried out by Israel and carried out without legal justification. Apparently, a preemptive strike is legal under certain circumstances and clearly, Israel hasn’t met that threshold. It appears that Israel is acting more and more violently with less and less justification as the Middle East crisis unfolds. What threat does Israel perceive that would justify their actions in Syria? Diplomacy appears to have no place in their thinking. We would hope that they would consider a diplomatic solution with Syria before engaging in indiscriminate bombing against a population that bears no ill will towards Israel. But that hope is clearly not realistic.
I don't know how the Middle East conflict will end, but it probably won’t end well and it is regrettably already too late for a satisfactory ending. Hopefully, Israel's illegal aggression in Syria will get more attention in the traditional news outlets than the rest of Israel’s genocidal actions. I hope I don’t get deported for these comments against Israel. I’m an American Citizen so I think I’m safe for now. HELP!!!
I agree, its all very confusing and doesn't make sense to me.
I actually looked up the quote - apparently the original quote is by oil magnate John Paul Getty, who said: "“If you owe the bank $100, that’s your problem. If you owe the bank $100 million, that’s the bank’s problem." I understand the rationale behind this statement (ie, the bank will go after you for small debt like a shark, but for huge debt, it risks default and closure if you don't pay out, so it is willing to negotiate with you for whatever you are willing to pay.)
But it seems to me that the US is in debt 36 trillion, which means we owe 'the world' 36 trillion...doesn't that, according to Getty/Trump, mean that that we supposedly call the shots?
The fact that the world is selling off US treasuries and thus raising yield rates does make sense to me.
And using the phrase, “… pull the trigger and subscribe.” (?) creepy in these violent times. This couldn’t have been written by Ryan Grim or Murtaza Hussain.
We are witnessing open Zionist Israeli agression in the Middle East.
What about quiet Zionist subversion of America? Seems our very foundations like free speech
are under Zionist attack.

That is Israel. Trump likes that.

Evidence that Israel is a terrorist state and should be declared so.

The new Syrian government needs to go to the UN and make the class that they are entitled to be free of Israeli aggression.
Israel must be stopped! How can we do this?
Evidence of their illegality is orderimg victims not to speak to jounalists.
Well if they did, then that journalist would have to be murdered.
Such is the Israeli code of ethics. extremely low. when compared to say Ukraine.

Was this written by AI? I think something is missing in your “old saying,” paragraph 1.

There's something weird going on, the text in the e-mail I received doesn't match the text in the website entry.
