The Post article planned to identify three top labor officials involved in an altercation with pro-Palestine protesters at the Democratic National Convention
Well, the least anyone could do is repeal the First Amendment. It's confusing and sloppy to have it there, and have behavior like this. No assault and battery charges filed, right? We wouldn't want that in a proper autocratic country.
How is it possible that anyone can be shocked by this? Jeff Bezos buys a prestige outlet to associate his persona with its history, and pledges that he will not interfere with a free press… and then little by little we get to see the extent to which his altruistic claim was a ruse. Big money, big power, and lots of underlings to do the bidding. Is it ever any different?
I had this idea. What do you think? Can you help or know those who can?
I was in a Zoom virtual vigil ,a few nights ago, for two executions scheduled for Texas and Alabama. It was a moving, powerful, and motivating experience.
It occurred to me that we need an on-going, non-stop, 24/7, every-time zone, virtual vigil for all the victims of Gaza, for what has happened on and since October 7, 2023. (Full well knowing it didn’t start then.)
There could be religious leaders sharing their rituals honoring the dead. We could read the names of everyone killed.
Invite musicians, poets, and others to share their artistry. I'm sure that there is much else that could be part of this.
It could have people from all over the world, all religious faiths, and leaders, atheists too. I am not claiming it will solve the issue, or that we should do this instead of all the other efforts, but it might help ease a bit of the pain, might help build community, show solidarity, allow for brainstorming new ideas, and let us know we are not alone.
Is it a good idea? If so, who has the skills and contacts to do this? How can we make this happen?
It’s absolutely outrageous that nobody has been arrested or charged for the assault on Ms. Ahmad! There is no justice in America if you are pro-Palestinian.
That Bezos "intervened in the opposite direction" may be a bit of a stretch, when there's no endorsement for a change. I mean you don't know, maybe his conscience got to him about previous endorsements for empire's murderous warpigs - and he's turning a new leaf for religion.
Just kidding, money's his religion.
On a related note, I'd like to propose national at-home cardboard pick-up - free for Prime customers - paid for by some the many billions in Amazon profits. ;)
Anyone with a (Sc)Amazon account might want to reconsider. There's always the USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Are you sure the lower price is worth fattening Bezos?
Shame! They should pay attention to the stance of the UAW, and stop acting like thuggish embarrassments.

The Post sacrificed its reputation for journalistic integrity when Bezos took over. To be pretend otherwise is laughable.
Thank you for your honest articule.
Whats happening to freedom in our country?

Nothing democratic about Democratic Party. Both democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin.
I call them "Left Pocket, Right Pocket"
Or as George Galloway coined “two sheets of the same backside”

If it'd too jot for us...don't hoonto the kitchen. Stay strong stay committed to stopping Israeli aggression in the middle east
I love the idea but that takes so much organisation and so much commitment of so many groups .
