If there's anything less ethical than a genocidal army it's probably a mercenary army that will commit or enable genocide for money. We share this planet with some despicable humans.

Sadly true Reynold but the decent amongst us must hold together and our numbers are growing...unfortunately many, many people still rely on the crap dailies and the biased media outlets afraid of their governments; "jobsworthies" all! I note that an Irish paper had a fair opinion, questioning "what will the children in Gaza think in the future?" I would suggest there are two more words that might have been added...the first being "surviving" and the other "any". Forward on...Free Palestine!

Agreed. The lamestream media are complete failures. Beholden to their corporate masters.

He is then prepared to work with the terrorists...the illegal Israeli occupying Israeli regime? To him all customers are right! Sounds like a dangerous lunatic. Free Palestine! Jeff.

This is chilling. These are the people who wanted to flood the tunnels with saltwater. They don't care what they destroy. Also the IDF is the reason that food cannot get into Gaza. Remember when they bombed and killed the Gazan police men who arranged an orderly peaceful distribution of flour? And I guess they plan for the US to pay for this ‼️JFC

Kahana sounds very creepy to me! And being friends with Eric Prince is not a recommendation.

He considers that sadistic bigot Stuart Seldowitz a "friend" as well.

The same thing history taught about religion; never, ever, let a religion have an army, ought to apply even more strongly to corporations.

Even the corporation that started with the "Don't be evil" corporate mantra quickly scrapped it. The same disaster that placing access to medical care behind the wall of corporate employers proved for American citizens would only be placed on super-steroids by granting unaccountable corporations the power of life and death through licensing them to unleash lethal violence against civilians.

We might just as well issue articles of incorporation to drug cartels and street gangs and trust them to govern so long as they pay some taxes and hire lobbyists to make election contributions (bribes) to cartel political parties.

This idea is the hatchling of an insane mind.

Ed I bow to your wisdom...I find it hard to follow "the world" as it is so corrupt...I have often buried my head in the sand claiming "what is wrong with an Ostrich's arse?"...but I have to admit eventually one has to stand up and be counted. I suppose we must all share the tragedies, miseries, and injustices and take whatever kickstarts one's personal resistance...I bear as a dedication for justice little Hind's beautiful smiling face. Jeff.

Apparently some don't think the precedents set at Nuremberg to discourage war criminals should apply to God's chosen religions or God's private equity investments. https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/israel-749-battalion-demolition-gaza?publication_id=2510348&post_id=150533123&isFreemail=false&r=rdp7&triedRedirect=true

It gets worse...the Israeli epicentre of evil in the Middle East and the US epicentre of evil globally. In a few short weeks many people will be uttering "peace unto mankind" again.

Our best hope now seems to keep the cancer from metastasizing to where Netanyahu and his fanatical Zionist legions are trying their best to spread it. I think partisan stooges in both our cartel parties are trying to figure a way to keep the ethnic cleansing going so the money can flow, but ensure their own asses are saved together with their wealth should an apocalyptic war or global international justice not go their way.

Now I understand why the genocidal Israeli occupation forces didn’t flood the Gaza tunnels: It would make Gaza unlivable and therefore useless to the Zionist Final Solution of takeover of all of Palestine and extermination of Palestinians, which include Arabs, Christians and Jews.

As to these mercenaries, armed mercenary and humanitarian aide are two realities that do not go together. This mercenary proposing to conduct humanitarian aid distribution seems to ignore the fact that the US list the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. As an armed force, this mercenary company would still be an occupying force. Its owner is operating under the illusion that it will triumph over Hamas, the al-Qassam Brigades, and other armed resistance groups where the settler colonial apartheid state of Israel and the US and it’s allys have not. This mercenary force will only be contributing to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people, against which the world is rising.

On another note, your story raises the issue, and reveals, policies of the Departments of Defense and of State to use mercenaries. In light of astounding military failures, exactly what do they contribute? They appear to be guarding sensitive positions, for example, embassies. I am no supporter of war and especially of the US military actions against other countries, but I cannot accept that mercenaries will fight to their last breath to protect US personnel and property. The number of US military deaths and injuries, both mental and physical, are testament to that commitment.

Lastly, how much money is spent on these mercenaries that could be better used on US troops and their families, especially where there is no significant difference to the mission or operation.

It appears that these mercenary companies are just another means for private corporations to suck money off government coffers while people in the US are condemned for receiving any type of US aide. Please recall that where corporations are concerned, millions of dollars are sucked up by top management who basically do nothing and by investors who do absolutely nothing.

Great comment. Especially last para about the dynamic around private companies, top management and investors gleefully profiteering from war and in Palestine, genocide. Grotesque and shameful.

Mercenaries often cause mayhem and even more unnecessary deaths. Jeremy Scahill has written about Blackwater in Iraq, and the mayhem they caused, but these people don't want or care to learn any much needed lessons.

How are these entities, GDC, Constellis, Blackwater (which changed its name), any different from Russia’s Wagner mercenaries? They aren’t. It’s damning enough that this present US administration has been joined at the hip with the Israeli genocide(s), but it also is a channel for these sorts of clandestine organizations. Prince is with the Trump team and Kahana is with Harris. When it comes to Israeli war crimes support, doesn’t seem to be any difference.

I kept reading, faster, paragraph by paragraph, hoping to find a drop of sanity or pathos in this Moti person. He comes off as a carpetbagger -- scouring a genocide to see what's profitable and might sell nicely to a national murder cult. Creating an expensive surveillance state, with deterrence force would incentivize the already angered nations to disembowel Israel once and for all. Let's just say Mr. Kahana is blinded by shekels and thoroughly out of touch with the Gazan's reality and Ben Gvir's resettlement dreams. Great reporting, of course!

Keep them confined for 75 years behind those walls ane see if they have the stamina of the Palestinian peoples gated comunities. Do onto them as they have done onto the indigenous peoples of the Middle East.

Jazzme, I have had very similar thoughts and reactions too...the blood boils and I/we shake in anger that we easily make mistakes typing etc. I'm definitely not a highly social person but on any small excursion I am positively open to any strangers (and probably have too much to say for myself!)..I am fierce but not aggressive by nature...or am I? Reading and seeing the latest appalling images in Gaza, and the extreme brutality rife all over but now particularly in the North of the tiny enclave I have to confess that I would like to hang Netanyahu up by his ears, kick Ben-Gvir's fat arse and bopping Smotrich on the nose, as well as that Mary Shelley-like creation Gallant! Before they are dragged off to be publicly birched at Whitehall, Times Square, and The Hague...and anywhere else that would host them. Before a life sentence in jail! One can but dream! (And if I am too small and old to do that, are there any volunteers out there to help me?) Jeff.

I just want the brain washers and liars out of power.

I suspect, after this ends, the horror will be realized by those who still have sufficient brain cells remaining to sense reason and feel guilt. The "I was not a Nazi Polka" reminiscent of the old folk group Chad Mitchell Trio song will be danced by all those who followed Nuts'n'Yahoos and celebrated their "serving God" or supporting "a greater good."

The perpetrators' effort to divorce themselves from and deny association with this 21st Century genocidal ethnic cleansing will be breathtaking. I certainly want ALL of our own politicians who supported this constantly identified, featured prominently in constant daylight, and driven from office. It goes without saying that I don't think the USA should be a party to any negotiations to furnish refuge to ANY foreign nationals who committed war crimes.

This latest chapter in this surreal, dystopian nightmare offers further proof of how evil and morally bankrupt Israel and its US supporters are. Their limitless imaginations in cruelty and greed are horrifying. And it’s becoming normalized with each successive war.

I visited Buchenwald in 2013 and discovered how the Nazis “subdued troublesome” Russian prisoners. They would tell them they were being transferred to another camp, but first needed to be examined in the clinic. They would then have them stand in front of a ruler to measure their height. Unbeknownst to the prisoners, there were small holes in the wall where a Nazi soldier stood behind the wall and would shoot them in the head.

Most Americans have no idea how entangled we are in supporting terrorism around the world and especially in Palestine. During Bush, JR’s Iraq war, W wanted to give more money to Israel without involving Congress. So he arranged for middlemen (working for Israel) to buy up large quantities of stuff the Pentagon needed and then Israeli companies would sell the stuff at vastly inflated prices to the Pentagon. When it comes to war profiteering, nothing is off limits as Jeremy has shown us.
