Would anyone be surprised if it was a targeted assassination by Israel?

Expand full comment

Exactly. Israel uses the most sophisticated and inhumane targeting technology in the world. Why do you think that the Hamas militants cover their faces. Some even cover their eyes, because who knows if that technology can even identify them that way. Israel wants no popular Palestinians to survive, and certainly not ones who communicate daily life and have extensive followings. Just like they targeted and killed several hundred Palestinian journalists.

The blood of this young Palestinian and that of tens of thousands of others is on the heads of all those who have stood by and alowed this holocaust to continue, fueled by the United States government and others in the West. The world has lost so much goodness, as expressed by Medo, Hind and countlss others. By trying to erase a people from history, the blind world has in the end erased itsself. We are lessnow than before, and no one now thinks we have any answers.

I'm very glad that Medo Halimy's tragic assassination has been made known. It doesn't bring him back, of course, but it emphasizes the enormous effort he put into being alive, existing as a human being. A very courageous man.

so sad. This war is horrifyingly cruel.and creates so much heartbreak. When will the world come around to seeing the injustice of it all?

DAWN has urged the ICC prosecutor to investigate and prosecute former President Biden, State Secretary Blinken and Defense Secretary Austin for their personal roles in aiding and abetting Israeli war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza as part of his ongoing investigation into the situations in Palestine since 2014.

Let’s give them our support.

I am saddened for the murder of this Palestinian humanitarian and disgusted and ashamed of “my” government’s enabling of the Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

This story sickens me, a diaspora Jew. Israel has lost any shred of humanity that it had left before October 7. I don't think that Zionists understand that the world is not going to suddenly forget about Palestinians. Or forget the genocide that the majority of Israelis support.

Palestinians are being torn apart by that violent space between Jewish identities.

What does that mean?

I am not on TikTok so I have never seen Medo Halimy, but his comment about being upbeat when he is on the sight is just a few minutes of his daily life. It reminds me of Abubaker who I first saw on the Electronic Intifada just a couple of days after Israel’s assault began and now he is on many channels. Every time I see him he has such a positive attitude that I wonder how it is for him when he is not on camera…..

Don't overlook this example of the odiousness of the Israeli-Zionist-US complex, "An Instagram page for alumni of the Kennedy-Lugar exchange program, which is administered by the U.S. State Department, also shared a post expressing “profound sorrow at the tragic passing of Mohammad ‘Medo’ Halimy.” That post did not indicate how Halimy had died, and, unlike other posts on its accounts, closed it off from comments."

That's it, just stonewall anything you do not want to hear, anything you do not want others to hear. This is a but one small but telling example of how pernicious Israel is, has been, in warping our values, our society, to keep the pipeline of military aid and weapons flowing.

Yeah the first holocaust seems so insignificant now. Just a matter of Jews being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Or you could say, You cant help bad luck. That's about all I could say about it now.

Its been erased from my memory.

I am so saddened by this news of Halimy's death, this beautiful and courageous young man who chose to connect with the greater world through the bridge of "normal" things even while constantly besieged within the profoundly abnormal world of severe oppression, profound scarcity, and unpredictable violence and cruelty he and all the Gazans/Palestinians are subjected to day after day, week after month after year, never knowing who's next. What a strong bright spirit he is among the countless strong, creative, life loving Palestininans, whether their gifts be like Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya or like the steadfast warrior Sinwar or the poet Refaat Alareer or Hamza Abu Qunais, the martyr's eulogist singing of the journeys between and living and the dead, so recently lost to us as well. The indomitable light of love and courage, beauty and faith takes so many forms and is so much stronger than death!

“A lot of you ask me why I plant,” he said to the camera. “Planting for me is a form of resistance, I bring life to earth. They’re taking away life, but I’m bringing it to earth.”

My deepest sympathy to "Medo's" family and his many friends. He touched so many of us and the whole world mourns him.

Ceasefire or no ceasefire; scam or no, we cannot allow Israel to escape the legal consequences of their war crimes. The Hind Rajab Foundation has, among other things, filed a case with the ICC against 1,000 Israeli soldiers for war crimes in Gaza.

They have taken further steps in recent days, and vacations are becoming a lot more difficult for IDF soldiers, worldwide. The Hind Rajab Foundation can use our help. Please join me in making a contribution.

You might find meaningful to watch the recent interviews that Glenn Greenwald did on his Rumble platform, and Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada, did with the head of this organisation, Dyad Abou Jahjah. It was very informative.

Here's a petition calling for accountability for the arrest of Ali Abunimah in Switzerland:

Of course he was murdered, anyone resembling a reporter has been targeted so far. Israel murders all reporters, as well as Aid workers and women and children,

They have shown everyone, [ except America ] that they are on the bottom rung when it comes to war. they are war criminals of the same level as Hitler and his Nazi's, worse they are child murderers.

But its not even a war, the opposition have no tanks jet fighters drones, uniforms. they are freedom fighters wanting release from constant humiliation and repression over the last 75 years, they are not trained soldiers but a group of men who want a better life from their torturers.

Their torturers are the terrorists. Its a holocaust where they vaporize women and children.
