Thanks for continuing to brave those press rooms Ryan. I would struggle to stay informed as to what goes on in those meetings otherwise because there are only so many non-answers I can watch on repeat.
I figured this may be the bast way to get a note to you. So, first, thanks to everyone for the party last Wednesday. It is so great to meet people one admires so much. It was nice to chat which allowed me to prove that I am a poor information source. The film I recommended was “Never Look Away” (not Never Look Back) and the journalist is Margaret Moth (not Moss). It appears that the release date is a closely guarded secret.
Other films, all outstanding Documentaries from 2024 Sundance Festival
Skywalkers: a Love Story (not Stars Wars) now on Netflix
Excellent I have a couple other movies that I'm going to recommend so I'll put them in the next comment I make. I really enjoyed the live stream with you Ryan and Jeremy.
@Ryan Do the State Department spokes people ever display any antipathy towards you or other journalists that are more ... aggressive during their press briefings or do things like give you less question time?
Is there a balancing act between pushing the spokesperson on their hypocrisy versus continuing to have access?
I love this question. On the outside, these press conferences are the weirdest fucking things ever (not to disparage you all). But are these podium suits just purely masochists or something?
How do the various WH and agency press rooms keep getting away with responding with the same canned responses day in and day out every time reporters ask them questions? At what point does someone just say to them directly enough is enough and do you honestly expect anyone believes this process to be in good faith? How do keep from becoming disheartened and staying committed to not only the work of journalism but holding checks on power?
Neither Hizbullah nor Iran want war. They both understand the kind of devastation inside their countries if a war begins. At the same time, they are understandably angry at the number of Israeli attacks that are occurring in their countries & have arrived at the conclusion that they won’t just ‘take it’ any longer - hence the current situation. Hizbullah hit military targets for this very reason: if a wider war starts, they will not have been the ones to initiate it. They don’t wish to hit infrastructure or civilian population centers because it would give Israel the excuse to bomb their populations. What Israel chooses to do will be of its own nefarious choosing.
The NRA was a potent lobbying force a decade ago, but its power has been largely destroyed by the prosecutions resulting from journalism on its shady financial practices. AIPAC has never, as far as I know, been the subject of a serious financial investigations, either by the government or the press. They surely have a pile of skeletons in their closet. Would DropSite consider doing such an investigation?
Good to know. I expect the NY Jury finding LaPierre and the NRA liable for 4.3 million in damages last February didn't help. Thank you so much for the reply.
What US contractors have already benefitted most from this genocide in Gaza and which stand to gain the most from a wider regional war? Which defense contractors (not necessarily arms manufactures) are doing well because of this never seems to stick in the news.
Is it possible that Dems are waiting to secure November election wins before changing course on Gaza and future Israel policy given the influence of AIPAC, etc??
Question: I think many see the western mainstream media’s anti-Palestinian bias as actual complicity in genocide, so thank you for going against the grain with your objective journalism on Palestine. Do you think western media is “redeemable”? In other words, is there a way back into actual journalism for them on the issue of Palestine, or is it simply beyond redemption?
Yes, though it lacks the resources. AIPAC can put $8 million into a race it barely even cares about while somebody like Justice Democrats has barely any more. The asymmetry is extreme.
Hi folks
Thanks for continuing to brave those press rooms Ryan. I would struggle to stay informed as to what goes on in those meetings otherwise because there are only so many non-answers I can watch on repeat.
Hey! Thanks so much for doing this! Was great to meet you last week! Two quick questions!
Are you guys ever looking for volunteers to help out with anything?
Research, communication, social media, sending in an op-ed lol, etc, would be more than happy to help in any way, big or small!
Yes, for sure. Send me a note to ryan at dropsitenews.com -- and thanks!
Emailed you!
Also, is there somewhere else to submit stuff to you?
I have pics/videos of Jill Stein at the rallies in Chicago! Emailed Ryan but they’re too large to send via email unfortunately.
Thank you to all of you for your hard work and for sticking to your principles!!
Put your questions for us here! Generally discussing Israel/Palestine/Lebanon, the Democratic Party, Pakistan, and wherever the conversation takes us

I have very violent feelings watching Patel and Miller smugly blather their non-answers.
I cringe at having the same last name as him 😭.

Couldn't agree more. Cringeness aside, it's just deeply saddening.
Congrats!

Interestingly, the real cause of the NRA's decline was their shift from a two-party lobby to a one-party lobby. AIPAC is on the same path.

Do you think an organized lobby mechanism similar to AIPAC can benefit anti-war coalition, especially regarding Palestine, and also Ukraine?
If yes, is there one? or why not there is one?
Yes, though it lacks the resources. AIPAC can put $8 million into a race it barely even cares about while somebody like Justice Democrats has barely any more. The asymmetry is extreme.
