Julia Rock rocks. This is exactly the sort of information that needs wide exposure. When VP Harris was anointed THE Democratic Party presidential candidate, there was nothing democratic about the process. If Raimondo is the sort of person she will be affiliating with, it’s best to know now. There has been great excitement about the Harris candidacy because it’s no longer candidate Biden. But so far there has not been much differentiating her platforms and views apart from the current administration’s policies.

The likelihood that Harris would pick someone who has real progressive bonafides is beyond unbelievable. I imagine that whatever Harris does, and whomever she picks, it won't make a bit of difference. I'm voting for Dr. Jill Stein, again.

At this point I just openly hope Trump wins and people finally realize the leadership of the Democratic Party needs to be changed.

dont blame you. one can criticize an "accelerationist" position, but at the same time does anyone have reasonable hope in the dems? can anyone point to anything showing the party has moved one inch to the left in the last 20 years that the voters have been screaming that that is exactly what we want? if i vote for kamala, itll only be so that bernie can continue being chairman and that one or more of the JDs can sit in the majority of their respective subcommittees.

"She tapped former Goldman Sachs and KKR executives to comprise her team distributing the $100 billion allocated by the law to spur semiconductor production."

In other words, money laundering to politically favored corporations with next to zero accountability.

US govt business as usual then. :(

Thank you for this article. The country needs to know what everyone in RI and MA know about Gina Raimondo - she’s powered by private business and delivers only to them at the expense of the people.

Thanks for this. I appreciate the Biden administration’s approach to anti-trust enforcement, and I hope Harris will continue this. It’s completely understandable that Harris is not asserting herself as skeptical of big corporations while she is accepting their campaign contributions. But then will she continue anti-trust actions, keep Lena Kahn in office, etc.? I hope so.

The Democratic Party morphed into the pre-Newt Gingrich Republican Party just before the Republican Party jumped on the crazy bus, heading toward a cliff. Her selection of a Goldman Sachs and a KKR executive to head CHIPS says it all. 🤮
