I never imagined I would be living in a country where the foreign policy was to actively support a genocide against more than 1 million innocent human beings. How could this possibly be? "...with liberty and justice for all"? How could this possibly be? I cannot wrap my brain around it. The world must be broken.

I can not only imagine this; I can easily imagine this now becoming the norm. No matter how disgusting the photos get. This is a logical conclusion to the Citizens United ruling, allowing the wishes of a small percentage of the U.S. population being given ridiculously over-sized influence by the wholesale purchase of the U.S. political government establishment. In this case, by AIPAC, ADF certain billionaires and the media. It is profoundly difficult, if not impossible, to be a "Proud American" when your tax dollsers have killed over 15,000 chidren. Tax dollars authorized by the very people voted into or retained in office last Tuesday..

It's nevertheless useful though shocking to have it confirmed once and for all - these "people" (Including most governments in Europe and the EU) are our enemies.

You know genocide has become such a common word that it

seems to be ignored or accepted as ho-hum have a nice day.

I think the only thing that's unprecedented about this is how openly it's happening and how shamelessly our government is enabling it. The actual act of genocide and ethnic cleansing is a constant throughout history unfortunately

'State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel said Blinken's letter was merely a "suggestion."'

Genocide has many voices.

He is such a vile human being. I have no idea how any of the spokespeople for this can look at themselves at the end of the night.

I despise my own government's officials, especially the Dept of State ghouls (Blinken and his henchmen) even more than unimaginably cruel Israelis. The bit about Miller (he just has to be related to Trump's Steven Miller) joking about not giving a grade this semester is so outrageous vile I can't begin to process it. And the whole World stands by watching the Palestinians starve to death, doing nothing.

My stomach turns as I read these words. There is no bottom to the depravity of what our American government has been complicit in. And the empty words of Blinken is beyond nauseating. For anyone to use "ally" in same sentence with the United States and Israel is beyond insulting to any one with a shred of decency. I cringe that my tax dollars were used to dismember babies.

Zionist control is complete.

Their twisted morality has infected the US,UK and the West.

I can't believe the US as I understood it can go along with this horror.

I take offense every time that I read something like "...affirmed yet again that the U.S. is not only refusing to impose any meaningful consequences, but remains firmly committed to supporting the genocidal war. " The operatives of the two cartel political parties that maintain their strangle hold on U.S. government and their wealthy oligarch benefactors are NOT "the U.S." The rank and file citizens whose voices are suppressed by the megaphone blare of oligarch-owned corporate media are the U.S., not Anthony Blinken, Donald Trump, Joe Biden or Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Had the will of the real U.S. been acted upon in good faith by its supposed representatives, the real U.S. would have joined the chorus of voices to condemn a genocide by Israel just as they did at Nuremberg to condemn the genocide of the Jewish people and others. A genocidal slaughter of civilians is not made morally acceptable depending on whose nation, ethnicity, or religion perpetrates it.

There are no words to describe the depravity of a govt that would force people to starve when there is food to be had. To hear these people's stories is beyond sad. The US govt is the one doing this to over 2million people. Remember this is the Democratic Party doing this . This is why so many could not vote Democratic

What are any possible ways you see that a citizen can bring any pressure to bear on the US government to take a humane attitude?

Thank you Abubaker Abed for your courage and strength in telling the truth of the pain and suffering all Palestinians are still going through today, after over a year of such heinous atrocities and dire circumstances.

It is unimaginable that the US could be complicit in such a sadistic genocide. Yet the U.S. acted the same way in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and in the South American countries. It is a shameful truth that racism still exists to such a horrifying extent that countries all over the world can watch the horror and do nothing. It is also a shameful truth that the US and other western countries are still colonial settler empires and that the U.S. is the lead imperialist in the world. It appears that the U.S. government still has a stranglehold on all of the rest of the countries in the world, such that none dare to act in the UN to expel Israel and financially sanction it.

The U.S. has the veto in the UN Security Council and has used it numerous times to stop resolutions for ceasefires. The U.S. neocons are driving this sadistic slaughter of Palestinian children and their families to the point of allowing starvation to be used as a weapon of war. The U.S. and Israel have broken every international law, humanitarian rights law, threatened the International Criminal Court judges and disrespected the International Court of Justice. The U.S. government is even breaking our own laws and lying to us every day.

Why, because “we the people” are allowing it. The U.S. government has made all of us complicit in the most sadistic genocide ever perpetrated against innocent civilians and dared to start removing our First Amendment rights to free speech, freedom of assembly and a free press all to protect Israel, a foreign country.

In 1967 Israel knowingly bombed our USS Liberty and killed 34 and wounded 117 of our sailors. It has been proven that Israel knew they were bombing a U.S. ship through radio transmissions.

It’s time we all started learning about US imperialism and hegemony since World War II and educated ourselves on the horrors the US has perpetrated on countries worldwide for their natural resources. Educate yourselves on our true history and I think you’ll know what needs to be done to take our country back from the edge of a total loss of humanity and tolerance until we, like Israel, see everyone different from us or inconvenient as lesser human beings. Remember we’re all on a small planet in the universe and all we have is each other, no matter our faith, our race or nationality - we are in this world together. Isn’t it time we stood up for each other?!

This is horrendous and due to the mainstream media's complicity, most people are unaware of the suffering. Thank you for your work in trying to inform people.

The level of depravity required to do this. How can anyone treat other people like this? I think Nazi Germany was kinder than the Zionists. I genuinely think the Nazis were better people.

Look, this isn't where we can just do the coalition building the best of us are talking about, and look to years from now to have a more enlightened Democratic Party. This is NOW!!!

Things are so horrible we are getting mad, at last. Off our butts. I can feel a connection to others as I never have before. It's like an open wound and we are all in it -- the kind of thing disasters call up. This is a disaster and we are all called up!!!!!

Why aren't people like you getting a coalition of millions of us happening now? We all are gadflies. Get a force too mighty to be ignored to change things in the world. With so much raw pain, you could get it quickly. Put up a flagpole and collect us. Let me help.

Please, subscribe to my Substack to be on this track with me. Today: "It takes disasters to get massive changes to happen. Turmoil is grist for creating a utopian world.":

I have a friend in Gaza, a young journalist, who has been messaging me several times a week. His latest message was absolutely heartbreaking. Two new born babies found in a destroyed building. I can’t tell you how much I hate our government.

It should be quite simple for the US - Israel allows sufficient humanitarian assistance through or all the assistance that Israel hoovers up from the US stops immediately. But the US won't use that leverage and we know why. And Biden carries on lying - it's hilarious that he and fellow fraudsters point to Trump's lies when Biden is someone practiced in a lifetime of shameless deceit - this time jumping on the Amsterdam bandwagon and yet again conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism. They should be grateful that, in spite of the unspeakable atrocities of the last 13 months, very few people hate Jews per se. But they are actually trying to wreck our understanding and sow more division. Tony Greenstein's book Zionism During the Holocaust shows that the majority of Zionists really didn't care about the safety of "ordinary" Jews, many of whom went to the camps ignorant of what awaited them, and made deals and even collaborated with the Nazis.
