Where you'll find us this week
The Drop Site crew is in Chicago this week for the Democratic National Convention, but we’ll be mostly gathering reporting for longer-term stories, rather than covering the blow-by-blow directly. For that, I’ll be co-hosting Breaking Points each day this week. Some programming notes:
You can find our coverage on the Breaking Points channel on YouTube and we’ll be taking questions from Breaking Points subscribers on the days we go live. Our theory on political analysis—or hot-takes, as they’re better known—is that the proper medium for them is the world of podcasts and YouTube. The rare exception would be the well-crafted, insightful essay that makes you think about the world in a new way. Outside of that, you won’t find many hot-takes here on the print side of Drop Site. i'm such a recluse i bought a ticket to TYT's event last night and then decided to stay at home and watch tyt instead. we'll see if i get over my anxiety and make it down on wednesday night. either way, thank you guys for everything you do. I'm constantly telling everyone about DSN.
