Democrats need a “come to Jesus” meeting with Biden to convince him to stop supporting Israel. He can flank himself in the Rose Garden with dozens of Jewish leaders, Union and Black leaders and make his case for withdrawing all support. He has plenty of cover. All he needs is the backbone.

Democrats? Do you think most democrats aren't on board with biden? We are a nation run by genocidal war criminals. America is a criminal state.

Biden is a monstrous narcissistic bitter old man with one foot in the grave and declining faculties. Even if Democrats didn't support his stance on Israel he would never listen.

I don’t necessarily disagree. However, there are a number of Democrats (Sanders, Van Hollen and dozens in the House) who don’t support Israel’s genocidal agenda. The majority of Americans don’t support Israel’s agenda and hundreds of thousands of them live in swing states. If nothing else, they should try to convince Biden that his unwavering support for Israel may sabotage Harris’s campaign, if they can’t convince him on moral grounds. Make no mistake, I know Biden is a war criminal who should be indicted by the ICJ. But it’s very unlikely and we are left with appealing to his vanity and his legacy. Does he want to go down in the flames of genocide and drag his self-appointed heir with him or can he be convinced to do the right thing even if it’s for the wrong reasons.

We must remember that Biden is in at least the middle stage of dementia so to expect him to think logically or indeed even worry about his legacy at this point maybe a stretch too far. Like many people, I have had experience dealing with the folks with dementia and you cannot use logical thinking when dealing with them. They live in their own dream world a place that Biden has lived for years even before dementia

Pelosi managed to convince him to step down. She needs to be convinced that she needs to do another intervention. It worked the last time.

Watching the roll out of the tanks and seeing the massive daily bombing s in Gaza. until all is destroyed and the people are plagued w/ polio—looks like a World War II movie. This must be where the perpetrators mindset is. This is not a computer game!

The USA has destroyed its international credibility. Armaments and oil are history.

Not if they win and somehow they convince themselves they can control energy resources of the middle east, and this when people are begging them to do something about climate besides murdering people. Planned starvation is just another way of murdering people. I see the freedom or resistance fighters as possible allies to billions around the world who will most likely die of starvation. I fear that on a world that tolerates an in your face genocide, all are doomed.

Assuming the strike in Tehran was indeed Israel, they're getting incredibly bold with their escalation in the region. What's the end game in all this? Seems unlikely they can survive war coming at them from all sides without either A: the use of nuclear weapons, or B: Full scale US war mobilization.

People in the West hasn't had any chance to get to know Ismail Haniyeh, and they don't understand what an utter tragedy his murder is for peace in the Middle East.

There must be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Pope Francis has said what is needed, now he must do what is needed by going to Gaza and standing for peace, justice and freedom.

Wasn't Qasem Soleimani invited to some sort of peace conference in Iraq, after doing heavy lifting defeating the ISIS proxy, and drone assassinated en route by order of Trump/Pompeo?

Where in the world does the Zionist proxy get these ideas of impunity, I wonder?

And why do I know any justified response will be labeled 'terrorism?'

When former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was working for peace with Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak's widow accused Benjamin Netanyahu of being behind the assassination to stop the peace process. He strikes again; Netanyahu orchestrated the assassination of Hannia not only to eliminate a Hamas leader who was not in hiding but was operating openly during the day but also to destroy any hope for a lasting ceasefire and to eliminate moderate voices within Hamas, hoping for more radical voices to emerge that will not be accepted by the West.

Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran is especially dangerous because of when & where it happened more than because the target was Haniyeh himself. Hamas will continue to function as it has been whether he is alive or not (this is not to downplay the gravity of political assassination).

Haniyeh was relatively unimportant - compared to Yahya Sinwar in Gaza or Khaled Mesha’al in Qatar - though he was the chief negotiator in the ceasefire talks with Israel. The future of such talks is now uncertain. But the significance of the past 5 days - or since the rocket attack in Majdal Shams killed 12 young people, Druze residents of the illegally occupied Golan Heights, most of whom have refused Israeli citizenship for decades - cannot be overstated.

There has been much speculation as to who was responsible for those deaths with many believing (on the basis of some evidence) that an Israeli interceptor missile from its Iron Dome system misfired and caused this tragedy. This is supported by the simple fact that the Druze of the Golan are allies of the Lebanese Hizbullah movement. Hizbullah would have no reason whatsoever to bomb an ally, and its continued denial of any involvement in this attack supports this fact.

The recent assassinations of Hizbullah commander Fuad Shukr & Ismail Haniyeh underscore Israel’s determination to continue and widen its war on Gaza. Both men were significant, if replaceable, leaders but that they were killed in Beirut and Tehran respectively shows not only Israel’s determination to widen the war but to bring in Iran (Hizbullah’s chief political & military ally) so that it can finally destroy its nuclear facilities- or better yet, have the US destroy them.

Shukr’s assassination must be seen in the light of Israel’s determination to knock out Hizbullah while Haniyeh’s killing in Tehran highlights the overarching background to this conflict as created and disseminated by pro-Israel propaganda or “Hasbara.” In this world, Iran -not Israel- is the dangerous villain threatening the stability of the Middle East. If given the upper hand, those living in this harsh, inverted fantasy world, will take us right to the edge of an abyss -and possibly right into it.

For Hizbullah to bomb the Golan doesn't make any sense. So I don't think they did it.

Netanyahu must be trying to start a war involving the whole of the middle East. He's been trying to get the US to attack Iran for years.
