The U S's response to this reminds me of the State Dept's response to the killing of Rachel Corrie... Crickets

The USS Liberty was a warning that their priorities are nothing to do with the safety of the people they're supposed to serve. These days they're in bed with Bibi - how low can you go?

As infuriating and sad as this story is, the investigative and informative journalism coming from Drop Site is second to none. Every article is a home run. Thanks for your work.

This is like the murder of Rachel Corrie. Years ago, I saw a film of that which was smuggled out of Israel. The soldier who bulldozed her was smiling. The Corries lost their lawsuit.

All of these incidence most seriously is about who determines US foreign policy: politicians loyal to the US and world peace? or those whose deepest loyalty is to a foreign government and its lobbyists? Wisdom says that tribalisms and greed cause most of the world's problems.

Horrifying.

It's becoming much clearer how genocides of the past were gradually accepted by the average (non-targeted) person -- the suppression of dissent and of reporting, the dissemination of racist tropes regarding the targeted group, the firings and the social shunning of anyone protesting the ethnic cleansing. We're forced into acquiescence and silence, and we finally just avert our eyes.

Israel, like the US, is fundamentally a colonial state—all of it is occupied territory. Most of its citizens are settlers, not just the right wing vanguard leading these attacks.

Krystal is a leftist but I totally agree with her that Israel is self destructing and will most likely soon cease to exist. Leftists are right that the right-wing has destroyed Israel but are blissfully unaware that their left has also destroyed America. Very few democrats have any problem with Tulsi being put on a terrorist watchlist for criticizing Kamala. No society so devoid of trust and so full of hate can survive as a nation. I believe America has already ceased to exist as a country internally which is why it’s so rapidly unraveling externally.

What about the seizing of Scott Ridder’s passport as he was leaving for a trip to Russia. And his recent FBI raid of his home of all his electronic communications. He is a former marine and was the inspector for the USA tasked with the job of finding weapons of mass destruction in the lead up to the illegal invasion of Iraq under Bush.

I’ve seen a lot of Scott’s videos. Very knowledgeable and interesting.

Is math “White” and therefore “Racist!”? A superb article on Real Clear Politics a few years ago by a Princeton Professor of Mathematics with an excellent introduction by Bari Weiss. And Kamala “Equal Outcomes” Harris is totally committed to “Equity” aka “Equal Outcomes.” Some excerpts below:

“When it comes to education, I believe the woke ideology is even more harmful than old-fashioned communism.”

“Communism had a strong sense of objective reality anchored in the belief that humans are capable of discovering universal truths. It forcefully asserted, in fact, the absolute truth of dialectic materialism, as revealed by its founders Marx, Engels and Lenin. Communist ideology held science and mathematics in the highest regard, even though it often distorted the former for doctrinal reasons.”

“Mathematics was largely immune to ideological pressure, and thus thrived in most communist countries. Being skilled in math was a source of great societal prestige for school children. And it was a great equalizer: those from socioeconomically disadvantaged families had a chance to compete on equal footing with those from privileged ones.”

“There Is No Such Thing as ‘White’ Math.”

I naively believed that STEM would be spared from the ideological takeover. I was wrong, says Princeton professor Sergiu Klainerman.

Any chance that this could be brought up at DNC in Chicago? I will not Left-apriori discount the Uncommitted folks there, or even the Harris delegates like the one who was stopped because she had a Paelstinian flag in her (searched) purse. Long struggle. Unlike maybe some here, Zogby too is "us" not "them" (e.g. Bari Weiss)
