I'm confused by Khuram Ahmed's role in this story and when the torture is alleged to have taken place. If Sharif was tortured, then Ahmed's story doesn't make sense, unless the torture occurred before Sharif was shot in the car. Does Khuram Ahmed say anything about Sharif being tortured prior to their drive back to Nairobi?

Why don't you stick your thick head where it rightly belongs?

It all fits. US meddling, IMF, lawfare... And now Kenyan police are preparing for action in Haiti. The Haiti situation, too, grew out of an IMF agreement the comprador government signed in 2018 that touched off massive demonstrations, just like what we're seeing in Kenya now. The Kenyan police are thus brutal with a Pakistani journalist, their own people, and now innocent Haitians that they're likely to murder. And the US is the puppeteer. Yes, on our tax dollars.

Looking forward to an update regarding Pakistan from you, Mr. Grim. Looks like the courts have taken Imran's side on cipher case, the marriage case, and the reserved seats case. Now the government has moved to formally ban the PTI trying to argue they violated a constitutional clause relating to sedition against Pakistan by leaking the cable from the US. All this on the backdrop of yet another IMF loan and associated austerity measures that go with it.

While it's nice to champion a 'free press' throughout the world, don't we have more than a bucketful of problems right here at home? Enough to keep an army of journalists busy 24/7,,if they're not too busy with "internal disagreements".

The chickens come home to roost, and our government is very engaged with what goes on in Pakistan since the moment of its inception. Its important for us to know how a lot of the same reason its important for us "here at home" to understand the Palestinian situation, Its our taxpayer dollars at work.

Our "tax dollars are at work" throughout the WORLD!!!!!!!, WITHOUT OUR CONSENT! That's no excuse for our sticking our nose into every damn nation's affairs! "The people" (as in "OF, BY AND FOR THE PEOPLE") did NOT sign off on financing an 'EMPIRE', which intrudes anywhere and everywhere in the world! THAT is what's "important"!!

Sure, but you seem to imply that by having journalists inform of us what is happening that we are meddling in their politics. We need to know what is happening because our state department is already meddling in their affairs and wreaking havoc. We need to know what is happening so we can demand that our government allows the Pakistani people the freedom to determine their own affairs.

Wrong! I've never much dabbled in "implication"! I tend to be more 'direct', which is what is sorely needed in our system. My comments leave no question as to what I'm addressing. It should go without saying, that if we kept our noses out of the affairs of SO MANY nations, there would be a corresponding lack of need for reporting on the affairs of other nations. We have way too many problems of our own for such distractions.

Clearly, you tend to be so direct as act in an imaginary vacuum that's emotionally easier for you. Have fun with that, child.
